For me, art is an opportunity for resourcefully revisiting the status quo with childlike curiosity and playfully questioning everything. My work with smartphone filmmaking and photography explores how mundane circumstances converge and collide with our vivid internal worlds as we interact with modernity, uncertainty, each other and the world around us.
I especially enjoy exploring human interactions with science and technology, as well as developing bold aesthetics that integrate screen arts, vibrant digital collage techniques and contrasting light and shadows of monochromatic scenes.
If nothing else, I hope my work encourages others to get in touch with the spirit of doing our best with what we have where we are, and having some fun with that along the way.
